After September 11, 2001, she painted two life size pieces she considers her most important work, “The New Twin Towers”- a Policeman and Fireman at Ground Zero. In 2004, she recorded an album with renowned Dallas record producer and three-time Grammy winner, Phil York. York submitted her album to the Grammy Nominating Committee, and in October of 2004, she received word that she was a Grammy contender in three categories—Best Album, Best Song and Best Female Vocalist. eBay sales of the album have been impressive, and Shannon is currently working with York on another album.
Adopted at birth, when at 25, she set out to find her birth mother. The resulting story was so unique and touching that a firestorm of interest was sparked in Hollywood.
